9/13/2024: An awesome end to the week

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

Another day, another spectacular forecast! Even as the remnants of Hurricane Francine try to send clouds and rain up from the Southeast, a firmly entrenched area of high pressure keeps it at bay - keeping us bright and sunny.

After patchy fog from this morning dissipates, temperatures will surge into the low or mid 80's across much of our region.

Another mild night tonight, with temperatures falling into the 50's. Despite clear skies, Albany will stay roughly 5 degrees above average. More patchy fog may develop in spots by daybreak.

Tomorrow is almost a perfect repeat - perhaps a degree or two warmer. Even though these temperatures are more typical of mid-summer than mid-September, humidity stays low - it's a comfortable, balmy feel each and every day.

More sun with highs in the low 80's for Sunday and Monday. A few more clouds may develop for Tuesday and Wednesday, but temperatures stay steady - right around 80.

It is not until Thursday that rain is back in the mix - and even then, it's only a chance for some showers with more clouds in place overhead. Enjoy the sun while we've still got it!
