Unnamed Arch in Zion National Park
Photographer: Stan WagonSummary Author: Stan Wagon
Featured above is a lovely little sandstone arch found on the east side of Zion National Park. One must crawl into the alcove to get a photograph. The material is Navajo Sandstone of the Jurassic period, which forms so many beautiful features. The shape and size are reminiscent of Windstone Arch, a spectacular small arch in Nevada’s Valley of Fire State Park that was, sadly, destroyed in 2021.
Photo Details: iPhone 10 camera used for this photo because a wide angle was needed.
