Amanda Holden takes a swipe at the NTAs after deciding to skip star-studded ceremony
AMANDA Holden has taken a cheeky swipe at the NTAs – making it clear she wasn’t bothered about skipping the star-studded ceremony.
Amanda, 53, posted a few glamorous pics of her own after staying home on the biggest night of the year in TV land.
Amanda was feeling fresh and fabulous after giving the boozy bash a miss.
She posed in a tight red dress on Instagam in the Heart Radio offices.
And the Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed the real reason she missed the show.
The star, who lives in West London, said the journey to South East London were the awards take place was reason enough to give it a miss.
She said: “It’s a schlep, it’s down at the O2, it’s just so difficult to get to!”
Amanda is prioritising other things as her kids head back to school and university.
She said she got in “so much trouble” with her 12 year old daughter Hollie this week after mixing up the school calendar.
She forgot Hollie’s netball kit, and told listeners: “I told my daughter HollIe that there was no netball club after school today because it’s not on the school timetable. But it’s ‘try it’ week, so it is on.
“She’s been doing netball forever. Anyway, do you know she literally just put the phone down on me in the car. I can’t believe the attitude.
“I literally got the phone put down on me.
“So if any of my school friend mums are listening, can you please take a spare kit in for Hollie because she won’t forgive me.
“And Hollie stop ringing me, I’m on air!”
Amanda’s daughter Lexi is a model and has headed to university.
A source said: “Amanda has been in the industry for years and knows exactly what she is doing.
“The plan is for Lexi to meet with a number of heavyweights of the next few years and make a name for herself.
“She really is the hottest ticket in town.”
When it comes to Hollie, Amanda and Chris’ second child, Amanda is confident that the youngster will follow in her footsteps into the world of show business.
She told The Mirror that Hollie is “a natural performer” and ‘has what it takes’ to make a name for herself.”
Amanda continued: “People have called her out saying “she’s got it” and not just because she’s my daughter. She does all her little clubs, and everyone raves about her.”
The proud mum beamed: “She lights up a room, she’s miss personality, she’s just gorgeous.
“She’s the communicator of the family. She never stops talking!”
