Canadian literary prize renames itself to distance from Israel-based military tech firm Elbit

Originally called the Scotiabank-Giller Prize, it will now be called the Giller Prize for Literature, in response to vocal public protests against Scotiabank, over the bank's investments in Israeli defense company Elbit Systems, whose weaponry has been used during the war in Gaza
