Cyprus seeks to bolster business ties with Baltic states

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) this week announced the establishment of the Cyprus-Baltic States Business Association.

According to an announcement from the chamber, this initiative was implemented “in the context of its continuous effort to open new roads and prospects for Cypriot companies”.

The chamber explained that the new association was created with “the goal of promoting, expanding and encouraging economic and trade relations between Cyprus and the Baltic states”.

“The primary aim of the business association is to promote, expand, and strengthen collaborations between businesses in the Republic of Cyprus and those in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania,” the chamber added.

Moreover, Keve said that the association seeks to “showcase the dynamic elements of the Cypriot economy, focusing on the vast potential for partnerships and investments”.

“It also highlights Cyprus as a strategic hub for business activities that extend beyond the European Union to regions such as the Middle East and North Africa,” the chamber stated.

The chamber further stated that “with its advantageous geographic location and top-tier infrastructure, Cyprus offers Baltic businesses access to fast-growing, high-demand markets”.

During the association’s inaugural assembly, Keve secretary general Marios Tsiakkis stated that the establishment of this association is set to deepen economic ties between Cyprus and the Baltic States.

He added that the association will provide “substantial opportunities for collaboration and growth in sectors such as trade, investment, and technology”.

“The association will act as a vital platform for networking and innovation, fostering cooperation between businesses for the mutual benefit of all parties,” Tsiakkis added.
