AUSTIN (KXAN) — Whether you're heading to the Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium to cheer on the Longhorns Saturday or hoping to check out the Pecan Street Fall Festival downtown, there will be several events this weekend impacting traffic. Here's a rundown of some of the expected road closures and impacts, as well as alternative transportation options.

University of Texas at Austin Football takes on the University of Texas at San Antonio

The Longhorns will face up with UTSA's Roadrunners Saturday, with as many as 100,000 spectators expected to attend the game. The below map outlines planned road closures due to the game.

Those seeking alternative traffic routes downtown can use 15th Street for east-west travel and Guadalupe Street for north-south access. KXAN also has a full parking and alternative transit guide available for home games.

Chingona Fest Texas

Thousands will gather at the Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park downtown Saturday for Chingona Fest Texas, a yearly statewide music festival and conference. City transportation officials said more than 1,500 attendees and over 60 Latinx vendors from across the country will be at the event.

While no substantial road closures are planned, officials did note the area will be busy when paired with UT Football traffic. The festival runs Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Moody Amphitheater, located at 1401 Trinity St.

Pecan Street Fall Festival

The yearly tradition returns Saturday and Sunday downtown along Sixth Street, with festivities planned between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. both days. The following roadways mapped below will be affected due to the festival.
