St. Mary Parish: Shelter for displaced residents, supplies, curfew
ST. MARY PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- Parish authorities have opened the Baldwin Civic Center as a shelter for residents who were displaced because of Hurricane Francine.
The civic center is located at 305 La. 83 in Baldwin. Officials said the shelter will provide three meals per day.
Residents who plan to use the shelter must bring bedding, personal items and medication. Transportation will also need to be provided.
Morgan City Police Chief Chad Adams reminds citizens that a dusk-to-dawn curfew is in effect until utilities are restored.
Officials said supplies are being organized to be delivered to the area for residents who are in need. The Morgan City Police Department said it will share on social media when and where those supplies will be available.
