Activities at Shawnee County parks will soon close for the year
TOPEKA (KSNT) - As summer comes to an end, activities at Shawnee County parks and lakes will soon close.
Sean Zears with Shawnee County Parks & Recreation (SCP+R) announced in a news release that activities at Gage Park, as well as other local parks and Lake Shawnee will be closing for the season in the coming months.
Boat rentals at Lake Shawnee Adventure Cove are open through Sunday, Sept. 15. Spray parks at Dornwood and Jackson parks will also be open through Sept. 15. The Gage Park mini-train and the carousel will be open weekends only through Sunday, Oct. 27.
