MODEL Abbey Clancy has been dealt a huge blow as her hotly-anticipated property series has been dropped after just one series.

The star hosted Abbey Clancy‘s Celebrity Homes on ITV where she toured some of her celeb pals’ mansions and got a peek at their interior design choices.

Abbey, 38, launched the series last year but despite much fanfare the show appeared to fall flat when it came to the ratings.

The appeal of going behind closed doors of some of Britain’s biggest stars failed to resonate with fans and insiders have now claimed that the show has been shelved amid the lack of viewer interest.

A source told the Daily Star: “The top brass had a meeting about the show and decided not to continue with it.

“There are no plans for another series.”

It is understood that while another series is not currently on the cards, bosses haven’t washed their hands of it entirely with the option to renew the show at a later date being left open.

The insider continued: “The show had everything going for it — celebrities, fancy homes and some gossip. But it didn’t deliver big enough viewing figures.”

Abbey is now thought to be focusing on new formats with ITV.

On Celebrity Homes, Abbey visited models Caprice and Jodie Kidd as well as socialite Jo Wood to get a sneak peek around their plush pads.

She also toured the stunning home of Sugababes star and her close friend, Heidi Range.

Fans were able to see inside the fabulous Chelsea home she shares with her property development husband Alex Partakis and their two children Aurelia and Athena.

During Abbey’s visit to the house, Heidi revealed she transformed her home from an old, abandoned laundry into a lavish living space for her family – complete with a Ferrari in the living room.

“When we bought it, it was an empty warehouse,” she says. “It was just three empty floors, no rooms, no walls and no stairs. A blank canvas.”

Heidi reveals she was against buying the building but her husband convinced her with a sketch of how the open-plan home could look.

Explaining the chic design, Heidi tells Abbey: “Because it’s an open plan room we wanted to make different zones.”

A huge floor-to-ceiling wall cabinet holds books, ornaments and one of Heidi’s priced possessions – the Brit Award she won with the Sugababes in 2003.

An angel ornament she took from her late grandmother’s garden sits on top of the cabinet and an emotional Heidi explains she placed the figurine up high as she believes her gran watches over the home.
