Jeannie Mai’s Daughter Monaco Is ‘Cuter Than Shirley Temple’ in Her Precious New Lemon Dress
We don’t know how it’s possible that Jeannie Mai’s daughter Monaco gets cuter every day, but it’s the [obviously objective] truth. And according to fans, she just reached a new cuteness milestone. The 2-year-old is now “cuter than Shirley Temple.”
If you’re too young for that reference, no, they’re not talking about the drink — although Monaco “Coco” is probably sweeter than that! They’re talking about America’s singing, dancing, curly-haired sweetheart who starred in a host of Hollywood movies in the 1930s.
She’s pretty much known for being the cutest kid on the block, but it appears Monaco — who Mai shares with ex-husband Jeezy — has taken her title! In a new carousel of photos and videos from Mai and Monaco’s trip to Sicily, the 2-year-old is rocking the most adorable blue dress with bow sleeves and a lemon print. She wears a matching bow in her hair, white sandals, and a heart-melting smile.
Which is why one follower was quick to say, “What a darling picture. She’s cuter than Shirley Temple. Love the dresses. ❤️❤️”
And no, that wasn’t a typo. She meant dresses plural because Mai was rocking a lemon dress of her own! It was a different color and pattern, but the lemon connection made it a fun twinning moment that was perfect for their Italian vacation.
In another photo, Coco looks so serious and sweet standing seaside in her striped, ruffly bikini, and in a later video, she showed off her bilingual prowess, listening to her mom’s requests in Vietnamese.
Earlier this month, Mai shared that she and her toddler had the “bestest summer” beach days, boat days, hammocking, dancing, snuggling, and more lemon dresses (!!!). “She is such a special, beautiful little girl ????,” one follower said. “She is such a VIBE ❤️” another added.
And where did that “VIBE” come from? Some of it could be nature, but a 2023 Mother’s Day post from Mai makes it sound like nurture plays a big role too.
“My mother always said, ‘I am the root, my kids is the tree.’ Navigating motherhood today, I understand the depth of her words,” she wrote. “From my brother’s unwavering support, to the incredible grandparents who raised us, we form a tapestry of interconnected branches nurturing lil Monaco ???? … I am so thankful for the roots that ground us and the bonds that help my mom journey be the healthiest it can be ????????.”
