WATCH: Arshdeep Singh’s fiery sendoff to Riyan Parag after dismissing him in Duleep Trophy 2024 match
There is no love lost between Indian cricketers when it comes to competitive domestic cricket. The fierce rivalry and aggression was visible in the Duleep Trophy 2024 arena with India ‘A’ side taking on India ‘D’ in their second match which kicked off in Anantapur on Thursday (September 12).
Team India and Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh, who is turning out for India ‘D’ team, leaked a spate of boundaries to India ‘A’ and Rajasthan Royals batter Riyan Parag. The Assam batter, who came in with his side in trouble at 21 for 2, smashed Arshdeep for three boundaries in his second over and scored a rapid 37 off 29 balls with 5 fours and a six.
But Arshdeep had the last laugh, getting Parag caught at first slip by Devdutt Padikkal to end the Royals batter’s assault. The left-arm pacer gave the young Indian batter a fiery sendoff which soon went viral on social media.
