New Delhi: Indian opening batter who was once called the next big thing in Indian cricket, Prithvi Shaw shared an Instagram story wishing his rumoured girlfriend Nidhi Tapadia on her birthday. Prithvi Shaw did not do justice to his abilities despite having ample chances at the international stage. Even at the IPL stage, consistency has been a problem with the right-handed top-order batter. What did not help the cause was Prithvi getting into unnecessary controversies. With a fresh IPL season coming up, it would be interesting to see if the Capitals retain him or let him go.

However, later on, Prithvi made a U-turn and claimed that someone had morphed the pictures and that he was not in any kind of relationship. The right-handed batter last represented India in a white-ball series against Sri Lanka and was in the side last year for the series against New Zealand – but unfortunately, he did not get a game. Inconsistency has time and again let Prithvi down.

It is worth mentioning that Prithvi is released from the Delhi Capitals, he could manage to have a lot of bidders because he still has age on his side. He is just 24 right now and a franchise looking for some firepower at the top of the order will be interested in him.
