On camera: Jeweller collapses, dies of heart attack while examining diamond at Surat factory

Surat Viral Video: In a tragic incident, a diamond worker died of a heart attack while working at a diamond factory in Gujarat’s ‘Diamond City’ Surat on Wednesday. The tragic episode was captured on a CCTV camera, showing the deceased, Vinu Bhai Patel, falling from his chair and collapsing on the floor after suffering a cardiac arrest.

In the CCTV clip, Patel, 50, is seen examining a diamond at his workstation when he suddenly collapses from his chair and falls to the floor as several co-workers rush to his aid.

According to reports, the 50-year-old jeweller was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The incident took place at a diamond factory at Pandol in the Wade Road area in Surat city.

Police said they have registered a case of accidental death in the matter and the body has been sent for post-mortem analysis to ascertain the exact cause of death.

In a similar incident last month, a teenager died of a heart attack while working out at a gym in Jamnagar district of Gujarat. According to reports at the time, the deceased, identified as Kishan Manek, a 19-year-old MBBS student, died after suffering a cardiac arrest at a gym in Jamnagar city.

The incident was captured on CCTV camera installed at the gym, showing Manek, a first-year MBBS student, suddenly collapsing to the ground while working out at the facility.
