AN electronic giant has revealed a futuristic-styled campervan likened to a ‘lounge on wheels’ with a huge built-in television set.

In a surprising move, a brand famous for its TVs, sound systems, and home appliances has introduced a new all-electric minivan concept that promises to be the comfiest living space on four wheels.

Sharp has decided to step into the world of cool minivans with a brand-new all-electric concept, the Sharp LDK+.

And it’s not just any minivan – this one’s more like a mobile living room on wheels.

Set to debut at Sharp’s upcoming tech day, the futuristic minivan has been developed in partnership with the Hon Hai Technology Group, part of Foxcon.

The LDK+ is a sustainability-focused campervan, boasting rear seats that rotate to face backwards.

When the doors close, liquid crystal shutters slide into place, creating a cosy, ‘snuggle-friendly’ atmosphere – complete with a table and bench seats.

And, in true Sharp style, they’ve installed a gigantic 65-inch TV in the back as they want this minivan to be the ultimate extension of your living room.

It’s not just about the big screen, though.

The LDK+ also comes equipped with AI-driven tech to control the air conditioning and lighting, creating a “candlelight” vibe.

The campervan is powered by storage batteries hidden under the floor, along with roof-mounted solar cells for added eco-friendliness.

Conceptually, these energy resources can connect to your home and offer bi-directional charging – letting you power your home from the van or vice versa.

This follows the exciting unveiling of the world’s most futuristic car revealed earlier this year.

The Renault car, designed by then-23-year-old Yuchen Cai, is a concept that could seemingly only be brought to market in a version of the future where roads involve magnet technology.

Its most distinguishing feature is its lack of wheels; it would rely on Maglev technology, or magnetic levitation, to travel places.

And it’s not just cars that are driving into the future.

China Railway recently completed its own successful performance tests of next-generation high-speed trains, which are expected to travel faster than planes and would also use Maglev technology.

The trains would operate within a low-vacuum pipe.

Magnets on the trains would interact with the metal on the sides of the pipe to levitate and propel them forward.

It is hoped that such trains will reduce air pollution emissions while simultaneously minimising travel time and costs.

Another superfast shuttle, named the Hyperloop, is also set to shoot pods and their passengers through a vacuum-sealed tube, at 700mph; most trains in the UK can reach a maximum of 140mph.
