GERMANTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Gaskins, located at 2 Church Avenue in Germantown, is closing its doors. Owners Sarah and Nick Suarez made the announcement in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

"Deciding to close has been the hardest decision of our life. As strange as it feels to say goodbye, we know that what we have created, with all of you, has been truly spectacular," said the Suarezes. "There is not one big reason, rather an understanding that after 10 years of owning and operating a busy, dynamic restaurant, our family is ready for a change."

The Gaskins menu is updated daily, but includes items such as marinated olives, tacos, salads, trout, eggplant, mac and cheese, burgers, and more. You can view the full daily menu on the Gaskins website.

Gaskins' last day is set for Sunday, November 24. For its last weeks, the restaurant will be open Thursday through Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

"We are forever touched by you," said the Suarezes. "We never expected this place would give us so much. A community, a family, a purpose. Thank you."
