68-year-old man dead in Jamestown shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Jamestown man is dead following a shooting on Tuesday night, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Newland Avenue and Forest Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, where a man identified as 68-year-old Doug Howie had been shot.
He was transported to UPMC Chautauqua and then airlifted to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., where he was pronounced dead.
