Hunt for Tube passenger in CCTV after two women sexually assaulted on trains in ‘linked attacks’
COPS have launched a manhunt after two women were sexually assaulted on the London Underground.
A woman was attacked on a busy Circle Line train at Liverpool Street on May 8 while another was assaulted on the Victoria Line at Seven Sisters on July 1.
Releasing a CCTV image, a spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “The man seen may have information which could help”.
The man, with brown hair styled to one side, is seen wearing jeans and a blue shirt, carrying his coat over one arm and a bag over the other.
The full British Transport Police appeal read: “Do you recognise this man?
“Officers investigating a series of sexual assaults in May and July are today releasing this image in connection.
“On 8 May, a woman was sexually assaulted on board a Circle line train at Liverpool Street station.
“On 1 July, a different woman was sexually assaulted on board a Victoria Line train at Seven Sisters underground station.
“Officers believe the incidents are connected, and that the man in the images may have information which could help with their investigation.
“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 612 of 1 July.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
