Delhi government to waive 50 pc fine on traffic challan if dues cleared within 90 days

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot announced a proposal for a 50% waiver on certain traffic offences if dues are paid within 90 days. This aims to encourage commuters to settle fines and reduce court workloads. The concession applies to offences like unauthorized driving, driving without a valid license, and dangerous driving. Empowering officers for real-time enforcement is also part of the plan.
