Kamala Harris Is Every Overqualified Black Woman Who Has Had To Confront White Mediocrity

Kamala Harris is the most powerful woman in the United States of America.

Kamala Harris is the most powerful Black woman in the United States of America, and white people are mad about it.

The GOP is so wedded to whiteness, they are willing to elect an unqualified, morally corrupt, serially bankrupt carnival barker and sexual predator who has been convicted of 34 felonies and recently slithered out of being prosecuted for the mishandling of documents pertaining to the national security of the United States of America because a judge he appointed found a loophole to get him out of trouble.

Donald Trump (I refuse to refer to him as president, even in the past tense, so cry about it), who “authored” a book called “The Art of the Deal” and was the star of “The Apprentice,” is a nepo-baby who was given $400 million by his father and managed to fumble the bag into bankruptcy six times.

He’s never even been the shift leader at a McDonald’s.

For all of his bluster and self-promotion, at the end of the day, he is a feeble-minded, easily agitated, uneducated idiot who doesn’t understand that the word “asylum” has two different meanings, which is why he keeps saying that immigrants are escaping “mental institutions and insane asylums” to come to the United States.

People of pallor: Is this your king?

As a Black woman, I’m very irritated having to watch Kamala Harris “compete” (let’s be real; there is no competition here) against someone who isn’t even qualified to answer the telephone or the front door by himself, let alone run an entire country.

As vice president, Kamala Harris is next in line in the order of ascension to the current presidency, and, if we are being real, President Joe Biden basically promoted her without giving up his post when he decided to step out of the current presidential race so she could become the Democratic candidate.

Even the incumbent president understands that Kamala Harris is the more qualified candidate for the job.

If we were to just go by resumes alone, Kamala Harris would be the obvious choice.

She graduated from Howard University in 1986 with political science and economics. She graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1989 and was admitted to the California Bar in 1990, the same year she was hired as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County, California.

She served on both the state Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and the California Medical Assistance Commission before joining the San Francisco District Attorney and becoming the chief of the Career Criminal Division.

In 2002, she successfully ran for district attorney in San Francisco, becoming the first person of color to serve in that role.

She successfully ran for California Attorney General and was the first woman and first Black person to ever serve in that role as well.

When democratic senator Barbara Boxer announced her retirement from the US Senate, Harris successfully ran for the seat in 2016.

After initially putting in her bid to run for president in 2020, she dropped out of the race, endorsed Joe Biden, and was picked to be his running mate.

She and Biden won the election in 2020, making her the first Black woman to serve as Vice President of the United States.

With all these accomplishments, she is not just qualified for the role; she’s overqualified.

People of pallor — at least the ones wedded to whiteness — can’t stand the idea of a Black woman having all that power.

Never mind all the accolades and firsts on her resume. Never mind all of her accomplishments. Never mind that she is the most powerful Black woman in the United States.

These white people want her to jump through hoops and go the distance with a man who doesn’t even have a plan for what he’s going to do if he is elected.

Read that again.

That man stood on that debate stage last night and admitted that he is basically going to wing it if he is elected.

WHITE PEOPLE.

Is this your king?

Kamala Harris is every overqualified Black woman who has had to compete against a mediocre white man for a job.

When she walked out onto that stage last night, she had to force Donald Trump to look at her and shake her hand.

He spent the entirety of the debate avoiding looking in her direction.

He’s made her race a talking point, revealing his ignorance about the complexities of race and ethnicity in America in the process.

People of pallor have made her race a talking point and a basis for fear-mongering around the idea of a Black woman being the most powerful person in the United States.

They would rather elect a man who parroted a lie about Haitian immigrants eating people’s pets because he “saw it on tv!!!!!” than elect the Black woman who is more fit for office.

They are literally throwing the worst person they have out there and are actively seeking to give him the job because upholding whiteness and white supremacy is more important to them than doing the right thing for the American people.

We’ve seen so many lawsuits arguing that affirmative action is racist and wrong, and DEI is the new bogeyman in corporate America, and all of this is because people of pallor are afraid of what could happen if Black people on any level were allowed to get even an inch ahead of them in life.

The presidency of the United States of America is up for grabs, and these clowns would rather elect a white man who can’t even string together two coherent sentences instead of the woman who ate his lunch in a presidential debate on national television.

The repeated foisting of Donald Trump onto the American people is the real “affirmative action.”

If we look at the debate as a job interview, who do you think was better at selling themself for the position?

Was it the mediocre white man who had a hard time following along with what was being said, or was it the Black woman who spoke with knowledge and authority on (mostly) everything she was asked?

Kamala Harris aced her job interview last night, but people of pallor still wants to give the job to the white man who got fired from the same role four years ago.

If Kamala Harris were a convicted felon and sex offender, she wouldn’t even be a part of the presidential conversation.

Donald Trump is all of these things and more, and he’s still on the ballot.

This is the power of whiteness.

This is America.
