Tate McRae Recreates Britney Spears' 2001 MTV VMAs Look at 2024 Ceremony

Tate McRae hit the black carpet in a lacy look while arriving at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards held at UBS Arena on Wednesday (September 11) in Elmont, New York.

The 21-year-old entertainer wore a very similar look to what Britney Spears also wore over 20 years ago!

Britney rocked the ensemble while attending the 2001 MTV VMAs, which is when she hit the stage for her iconic “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance, where she carried a python on stage.

Also seen walking the carpet at the VMAs this year was Tate‘s boyfriend The Kid LAROI. While they didn’t hit the carpet together, they were seated next to each other inside the awards show.

This year, Tate is nominated twice – for Best Pop and Best Chorography for Sean Bankhead for her “Greedy” video.

Just a couple weeks ago, The Kid LAROI joined Tate on stage at her Madison Square Garden concert, where they performed a duet of his song “Without You.”

FYI: Tate is wearing a Roberto Cavalli look with Fleur du Mal under garments and Maison Ernest shoes.
