Taylor Swift Thanks Boyfriend Travis Kelce for His 'Magic' During VMAs Speech, Breaks Beyonce's Record for Most Wins Ever
Taylor Swift gave a special shout-out to boyfriend Travis Kelce during her second VMAs acceptance speech of the night!
The 34-year-old singer had the final speech of the night while accepting Video of the Year at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday (September 11) at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Taylor was joined on stage by collaborator Post Malone and some of the creative minds behind her winning “Fortnight” video. While accepting the award, she revealed how Travis actually helped on set!
“This video seems very sad when you watch it, but it actually was like the most fun video to make and something I’ll always remember is when I’d finish a take and I’d say cut, and we’d be down with that take, I’d always just hear someone cheering and like woo-ing from across the studio where we were shooting it. And that one person was my boyfriend Travis,” she said.

“Everything that man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I will always remember that,” she said. “To the fans, I’m always trying to figure out a way to say thank you to you for making my life what it is, for making the Eras Tour for what it has become, to The Tortured Poet’s Department what it has become. That’s all you guys.”
Taylor won a bunch of awards this year, bringing her total number of moon men to 30, topping Beyonce‘s previous record of 25 wins.
