More than 200K without power across Louisiana, outage map shows
LOUISIANA (KLFY) -- More than 200,000 customers are without power across lower Louisiana late Wednesday, according to PowerOutage.us.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Hurricane Francine made landfall Wednesday afternoon about 30 miles south-southwest of Morgan City as a Category 2 storm.
In St. Mary Parish, a little more than 72% of Cleco customers are without power as of 8 p.m. Wednesday. That's 148 outages affecting roughly 13,800 customers, according to Cleco.
Other local parish outage counts, per the PowerOutage.us map, as of 8:11 p.m.:
- Lafayette - 165
- St. Martin - 843
- Iberia - 4,689
- Vermilion - 2,366
- Acadia - 10
- St. Landry - 6

As of 8:24 p.m. Wednesday, the outage map reports that approximately 230,800 customers in Louisiana are without power.
