Flavor Flav Supports His Girls at the 2024 VMAs
Flavor Flav was extremely on his hype-man shit at the 2024 Video Music Awards. Flav announced the first award of the night, Best Collaboration, with Olympian Jordan Chiles. But before Chiles could give out a moon-person, Flav had to give her something. The gymnast won bronze at the Paris Olympics before some judicial nonsense forced her to give her medal back. “I just want to turn this into a little Olympic moment for a second, if y’all don’t mind,” he said. “Jordan, I know they tried to take your medal away from you, but you know what? I got you something that they can’t take away from you.” Flavor Flav then presented Chiles with a bedazzled clock of her very own. “And guess what else, too?” he said. “I got your prize money too. I got that for you.” Flav is really bankrolling the entirety of women’s sports at this point, isn’t he?

After his moment with Chiles, Flavor Flav got to have one with another of his girls: Taylor Swift. Swift and Post Malone won Best Collaboration for their “Fortnight” video. Swift had nothing but affection for Flav, but wanted to make sure we all knew what day it is before accepting her award. “I wanted to say, waking up this morning in New York on September 11, I’ve been thinking about what happened 23 years ago,” she said. “Everyone who lost a loved one, everyone that we lost, and that’s the most important thing about today — and everything that happens tonight falls behind that.” Okay!
