Preparations underway for 46th annual Carrot Festival

NISKAYUNA, N.Y (NEWS10) - Preparations are underway for the 46th annual Carrot Festival on Sunday, September 15. The Niskayuna event is rooted in tradition.

Thousands attend the annual festival at Congregation Agudat Achim. It has grown in both size and popularity since it began back in 1978.

It may come as no surprise that carrot cake is a big (& delicious!) part of the festival. This year volunteers baked 54 sheet cakes and more than 1,000 servings of carrot cake. Their signature praline-filled carrot cake is their bestseller and available gluten-free as well.

The 46th annual Carrot Festival will take place on the front lawn of Congregation Agudat Achim at 2117 Union Street in Schenectady. It is scheduled to take place on September 15 at 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
