ACSO: Albany man charged for accused drug possession
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Albany County Sheriff's Office arrested an Albany man for felony drug possession on Wednesday. Deputies said Keith Horton, 68, was charged with third and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Deputies said the Sheriff's Office's Community Oriented Policing Effort unit stopped a vehicle near Broad Street and Alexander Street for a traffic violation and identified the driver as Norton. In their investigation, deputies said that Horton had cocaine.
According to deputies, they determined the cocaine was intended for distribution, as there were also multiple plastic tie-off bags usually used for drug distribution. Horton was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court following his arrest.
