Stock Market Live Updates September 12, 2024: Sensex, Nifty open higher; US inflation data lifts rate cut hopes

Stock Market Live Updates: Sensex rose 311.83 points or 0.38 per cent to 81,834.99 as at 9.15 am, and Nifty 50 was up 123.10 points or 0.49 per cent at 25,041.55.

The benchmark Nifty 50 lost about 0.5- per cent in the previous session, on profit booking ahead of the US inflation data, which was released after Indian market hours.
