Report: Player turns down Turkey and Saudi moves after being offered to Spurs
CalcioMecato reveal that Adrien Rabiot, who has reportedly been offered to Tottenham Hotspur, has now rejected the chance to move to the Middle East and Turkey.
Where will Adrien Rabiot play his football?
It remains to be seen where Rabiot ends up this summer after the midfielder’s contract with Juventus ran out in June.
The 29-year-old’s entourage are reportedly working to find their client a new club and it was revealed by TBR Football a few days ago that they had contacted both Spurs and Arsenal about the player’s availability.
However, Alasdair Gold subsequently played down the possibility of the Frenchman signing for Spurs, suggesting in a Q&A on Football.London that Ange Postecoglou is not a fan of making stop-gap signings.
Rabiot turns down offers
CalcioMercato have now explained that several Turkish clubs reached out to Rabiot about a move but the former PSG man had no interest in making the switch to the Eastern European side.
The recently departed Juventus man has also allegedly said ‘no’ to the Saudi Pro League sides that have approached him.
Finally, the publication suggests that AC Milan’s hopes of signing Rabiot might also be over, with the player’s wage demands likely to prove excessive for the Rossoneri.
Spurs Web Opinion
It sounds like Rabiot and his representatives are angling for a switch to the Premier League.
As things stand, Manchester United appear to be the most likely destination for the midfielder but one would not rule out a late twist in this saga.
