Report: Tottenham scout Italy international in Nations League game this week

Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci is reportedly on Tottenham’s radar, with the Lilywhites running the rule over the youngster during the international break.

Who is Samuele Ricci?

Ricci has been rated very highly in Italian football for a while and the 23-year-old has now finally started living up to his promises over the last 12 months.

Not only has he emerged as one of Torino’s most important players, but he is now also starring on the international scene.

The deep-lying playmaker starred in a midfield three alongside Sandro Tonali and Davide Frattesi for Italy, who got their Nations League campaign to the perfect start with wins over both France and Israel.

Spurs send scouts to watch Samuele Ricci

According to HITC, Tottenham sent scouts to watch Ricci closely during Italy’s 2-1 win over Israel in Budapest on Monday night.

Spurs also had Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario in the Italy squad this month, with the former picking up an assist off the bench.

The report says that Ange Postecoglou’s men are now scouring the market for a number six, with the Torino star, who has allegedly been likened to Andrea Pirlo, thought to be one of the names on their radar.
