90s TV presenter looks worlds away from hit kids series as he rocks out in band
NINETIES TV presenter Gareth Jones looks worlds away from his days on kids TV after revealing his brand new music passion.
The star rose to fame thanks to his role on the classic 90s kids show How2 and was often known by his TV stage name Gaz Top.

Countdown legend Carol Vorderman was one of those who presented alongside him when she worked on the programme in the early 90s.
Weather presenter Sian Lloyd was also one of his co-stars in the late 90s alongside Gail Porter.
The programme was an informative educational show aimed to help children discover just “how” things in the world happened.
It covered a broad range of educational topics such as maths, science, puzzles and teachings of history.
Since his time on the show, Gareth has found himself rocking out in a whole new lane.
Earlier this week, the star made his debut as a full-time bass player for the band The Alarm.
Gareth has guest performed with the band on several occasions but this was the first time he completed a full set with the group.
Sharing a snap of himself living it up on stage, Gareth said: “I’ve guested on bass for The Alarm for the odd song here and there over the years, which has always been a privilege and a deep pleasure for me.
“Yesterday was the first time ever that I have been tasked with playing bass on every song from Declaration live on stage.
“Huuuge thanks to Eddie Macdonald for inviting me to sit in and to Ben Townsend for being the other half of our nascent rhythm section.
“The significance of the fact that the bass I played was one that I was partly responsible for getting it nicked in New York in 1984 wasn’t lost on me either. Achievement unlocked.”
Amid his new-found love for bass playing, Gareth does still frequent the airwaves in his native Wales.
He hosts a motorsport podcast titled Gareth Jones On Speed following his love for all things cars.
In 2021, Gareth also became the first person to swim from the south to the north of Wales.
His efforts were chronicled in a three-part documentary series which aired on Welsh TV in the same year.
