Faye Winter breaks silence on romance with Pete Wicks and says ‘I adore him’ after growing close
LOVE Island star Faye Winter has broken her silence on romance rumours with Towie’s Pete Wicks.
The pair sparked rumours of a possible romance after posing for loved-up pics at Vicky Pattison’s wedding last month.
And now Faye has set the record straight on their relationship.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said: “I say it time and time again, every single time, me and Pete Wicks are just friends.
“I adore him, I adore everything he does for dogs, animals, he’s one of my closest friends in the industry and I love him dearly.
“That’s all there is to it.”
Asked if there could ever be something between her and the hunk, she replied: “I wouldn’t say so, no, I appreciate what he does for dogs, so no.
“I’m so proud of him [for doing Strictly], he will smash it, just by being himself. He’s going to do great on it.”
Addressing the Maura Higgins and Pete romance rumours, she added: “Maura and Pete… I actually don’t know. I don’t think there’s anything going on, but who am I to say? I’m in the dark.”
Faye hinted that she had found a new relationship in April this year via a funny TikTok video.
But when asked about her current situation, the beauty said: “My love life, I’m loving my love life, it’s not really a love life, it’s more of a lust life.
“I took some time for myself and I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone.
“I achieved off [of not dating] and some what.
“It was so great because you feel like you’re always looking for the next relationship and always looking to try and replace what you had to fill a gap or void but I actually filled it myself.
“I’m actually really happy that I did that and I would recommend it to anyone.
“Lust stage, I’m enjoying dating, not rushing anything but also being in that stage where I’m 29 and not putting any pressure on it, so I like having that side of me.”
Faye had vowed to spend a year single after her bitter split with Teddy Soares.
The pair met in the Love Island villa in 2021 and sparks flew as they fell for each other.
However, their relationship came to a bitter end last year following a round of failed ‘crisis talks’.
The pair, who were together for 18 months, have never confirmed the exact catalyst for their break-up.
The former estate agent has previously suggested Teddy had been messaging other girls behind her back, a claim he has denied.
