Belgium delays submission of budget plans to EU

BRUSSELS, 11th September, 2024 (WAM) -- Belgium has requested an extension from the European Commission for submitting its budget plans as part of the European Union's excessive deficit procedure, as the country awaits an agreement to form a new federal government.

As part of the excessive deficit procedure launched last July, Belgian officials were scheduled to submit the country's budget plans by 20th September
