FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Happy Wednesday!

We continue our warming trend this afternoon, with highs pushing into the upper 80s. We'll see a bit of a hazy sunshine, as wildfire smoke from out west lingers in our upper levels. Air quality generally still remains safe for much of the population. We will be dry, with comfortable humidity.

For tomorrow, we stick in the upper 80s. We'll start our Thursday with sunshine, then clouds will gradually build during the afternoon. This is the start of tropical moisture nudging its way into the Ohio Valley, following landfall of Hurricane Francine on the Gulf Coast.

By Friday, we've got mainly cloudy skies as a result of that increased moisture. This cloud coverage drops our temperatures back to the middle 80s.

Unfortunately, though we need the rain, modeling does not bring much into Central Ohio due to a strong area of high pressure pushing that tropical moisture to our west. Outside of very isolated shower chances, mainly for southwest Ohio, we remain mostly dry Friday through Monday.
