Columbia boys soccer blanks Shenendehowa 4-0
EAST GREENBUSH, NY (NEWS10) -- The Columbia boys soccer team hosted Shenendehowa for a Suburban Council clash on Tuesday night. It was the season opener for the Plainsmen, while the Blue Devils entered the matchup 1-0.
Columbia junior Aidan Gatchell tallied two first half goals to put the Blue Devils up 2-0 at the half. In the second half, Columbia took advantage of a free kick with some nice ball movement, leading to a Liam Schneider goal to make it 3-0. Cody Hamilton capped off the game with a penalty kick goal, as the Blue Devils notched the 4-0 win.
The Blue Devils will look to stay unbeaten at Schenectady on Thursday, while Shen will look to bounce back at Colonie.
