Wet Wednesday drops temperatures around the PNW
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Fall-like rains return to Oregon Wednesday as temperatures fall nearly 30 degrees in less than a week.
Afternoon highs will only make it into the upper 60s and low 70s along the Willamette Valley Wednesday afternoon. Early morning rain showers will slow through the day, but become more scattered in nature. The chance for an isolated thunderstorm or two is possible during the afternoon and evening hours.
Rain accumulation will be near about a quarter of an inch to nearly an inch in some locations. Scattered rain showers will remain throughout the day Thursday. but taper down by the evening.
Temperatures will continue to sit below average through the start of next week. Afternoon highs should be sitting in the mid to upper 70s for the middle of the month. Highs will continue to sit in the low to mid 70s.
Scattered rain showers are possible this weekend, but will not be near the rainfall amounts seen Wednesday. The fall-like feeling will remain as mostly cloudy skies dominate the forecast over the next week.
