Trump compares Kamala Harris to 'prizefighter' in post-debate social media spree

Donald Trump after his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris turned to Truth Social, where he compared Harris to a prizefighter and claimed victory regardless.

Trump took the unusual step of showing up in the spin room after a poor debate performance against his opponent, taking over an area where reporters can talk to aides and surrogates of participants after the debate.

After that, Trump took to social media, where he shared several informal online polls showing him as the winner of the debate. One poll he shared was from far-right Newsmax, which showed him winning 93% to 6%.

"People are saying BIG WIN tonight!" Trump wrote on Truth Social, heaping praise on a Fox News host who said he won. "Thank you to Jesse Watters for the nice words on my Debate performance. It was a GREAT evening!"

"I thought that was my best Debate, EVER, especially since it was THREE ON ONE!" the former president added on social media.

After Harris herself confidently called for a second debate, Trump said, "Comrade Kamala Harris is going around wanting another Debate because she lost so badly - Just look at the Polls!"

"It’s true with prizefighters, when they lose a fight, they immediately want another. MAGA2024," the ex-president said.

Trump also went on to share an unconfirmed story about an Ohio woman who "allegedly killed" and ate a cat "in front of shocked neighbors," doubling down on a false claim at the debate about illegal immigrants eating pets in the state. He further shared an article about an alleged report about "a local resident reporting a group of Haitian migrants carrying four geese in Springfield, Ohio."

Finally, Trump capped off his social media spree with a screenshot of the GOP declaring the former president "the reigning presidential debate champion."
