Ange Postecoglou is just over a year into his tenure as Spurs boss, but there are some who are already predicting his downfall, especially if the next few games don’t go his way.

Will Postecoglou be out by the end of the season?

After the dismal season under Antonio Conte in 2022/23, the arrival of Postecoglou was a breath of fresh air for Spurs fans.

The Australian has introduced exciting football and a positive atmosphere to the club once more, and he has recruited wisely in the transfer market to build a squad capable of challenging at the very top.

It has not quite been the strong start to the season many had hoped for, with dominant performances not being matched by the results as the Lilywhites have registered one win, one draw, and one defeat in their opening three games.

Next up is the North London derby, and Mark Goldbridge and Will Brazier have been discussing what lies ahead for Spurs and their manager.

Goldbridge asked Brazier who will finish higher in the league this season, Spurs or Manchester United, and Brazier revealed he thinks neither club will have the same manager by the end of the campaign.

He said: “I think the answer to that question is both of them won’t have the managers that they’ve got now, and I worry for who Spurs would appoint next.

“There is growing noise within the Spurs camp that just with last season, the start of this season, the next run of games, if they get that wrong [Postecoglou could go].”

Is Postecoglou under pressure?

It remains to be seen just how patient Daniel Levy and the Spurs board will be with their latest manager.

In the past, we’ve seen Antonio Conte leave rather unceremoniously, Jose Mourinho being sacked just before the Carabao Cup final, and fan-favourite, Mauricio Pochettino dismissed just months after reaching the Champions League final.

After spending big in the transfer market this summer, all eyes will be on Postecoglou to take Spurs to the next level as he attempts to end their 16-year trophy drought.

Spurs Web Opinion

I don’t think we have to worry about Posteoglou going anywhere. He’s happy here, he’s got a long-term vision, and the club clearly trusts him, too. I can see him sticking around for another two or three years at least.
