“I think you just have to replace them, like every year you’ve just got to get a new lot in”, she said on the podcast she shares with TV and radio presenter Zoe Hardman.

“It’s annoying, but you do wear them all the time”, she added.

Georgia explained that her t-shirts always end up looking blue or grey after a while.

“If it’s not perfect white, it does make the outfit look a bit dirty”, she added.

Georgia said that you don’t have to break the bank to replace your t-shirts, as you can pick them up from Primark for £3.

Primark’s Short Sleeve Cotton T-Shirt comes in sizes XXS to XXL and is available in stores and via click and collect.

Zoe added that she always buys three black and three white tank tops every year because they go grey and end up with stains on them.

“You need your basics to be right”, Georgia said.

The podcaster added that she will also be investing in a new pair of loafers this season and a cropped jacket.

She will also be updating her cashmere, and said that she will be picking up some bargains from the supermarket, which she said will last forever.

Zoe said that she buys a new pair of knee high boots every September.

“I can wear them with everything, they’re really versatile”, she said.

She added that she also always likes to update her knitwear at the start of every season, and will also be purchasing a new coat.

How to look chic on a budget

Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger, and beauty journalist Samantha Silver revealed how you can make your outfits elevated without spending hundreds of pounds.

  1. Don’t ever spend on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection of fashion-forward jeans that follow the current trends”. The high street retailer offers a great range of sizes to fit UK 6 – UK 18, and three leg lengths – and prices start from an affordable £25.
  2. There are no rules for jewels: ”Pick up something at a car boot sale, or charity shop, scroll on Vinted & eBay, snap up something from the clothing section in your local supermarket when doing the food shop or check out high street clothing stores.”
  3. Don’t forget the pre-loved sites: With a rising number of second-hand sites, such as Vinted and Depop, there’s no excuse for not buying – or selling – pre-loved garments. Gemma, for instance, has managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunnies for a mere £17.

The duo added that loafers will be very in this season, as they are so versatile and comfortable.

Georgia said that you can wear them with mum jeans and tailored trousers.

“A grey ankle boot is also a staple for me”, Zoe added.

“They look so smart, and go with everything in your wardrobe.”

And in terms of Autumn jackets, Zoe and Georgia recommended suede, and said you can get a great one from Vinted.
