How Molly Mae & Tommy Fury could split their assets – from a £1m engagement ring to mansion, according to divorce lawyer

A TOP divorce lawyer has shared her thoughts on what could happen to Molly Mae and Tommy Fury’s assets during the split.

The pair broke up in early August after it was alleged Tommy Fury had cheated on Molly-Mae, the mother of his child, Bambi, which he denies.

The pair were engaged but Tracey Moloney, 54, says it’s unlikely Molly-Mae would be expected to return the £1 million sparkler Tommy proposed with.

The family solicitor Tracey claims under typical circumstances when a proposal is accepted, the ring is seen as a ‘gift’ – not just given on the condition they marry.

Tracey insists this means the £1 million ring would be Molly’s to do with it what she chooses unless Tommy could prove he was only giving it to her on those conditions.

the split was heartbreaking for Molly Mae sources told The Sun, but she hasn’t let it get in the way of her new business venture, her own clothing brand called Maebe.

She also explained possible scenarios for how they might handle their daughter Bambi’s care – if they aren’t able to decide amicably.

Tracey suggested Bambi’s current daily routine and parent’s schedules – including Tommy being out of the country for boxing – would be taken into account.

Therefore she reckons if it comes down to the courts, Molly-Mae would be more likely to get custody of the tot.

Tracey – who has been practising family law for 25 years – from Chippenham, Wiltshire, said: “I’m sure the engagement ring cost was eye-watering – it’s a huge asset.

“Is she expected to give it back? No, he didn’t give it to her on the condition she would marry him.

“Legally Molly doesn’t have to give it back – but morally she might.

“With Bambi, if Tommy were to fight Molly for custody, my legal view is he would lose.

“The constant in Bambi’s life is Molly if he’s out of the country a lot for boxing.

“Coming from a family with traditional values, Tommy’s family might tell him that if he’s the one that messed up, he should do the right thing by Molly.”

While reports suggest Molly is the sole owner of their £4m Cheshire mansion – it’s unclear who owns what possession-wise in it.

Timeline of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury's split

After five years together, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury split up in August 2024.

At around 4pm on Wednesday, August 14, Molly-Mae and Tommy suffer an explosive showdown and Molly-Mae announces her split from fiancé Tommy Fury, saying ‘ I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way’.

An hour later Tommy shares a separate and brief statement confirming they have parted ways, and thanks Molly-Mae for making him ‘a dad’.

The real reason they split emerges and on Thursday, August 15 The Sun reveals how Molly-Mae learned Tommy had cheated on her – leading to an explosive showdown.

On Saturday, August 17, The Sun reveals how Molly-Mae had been sent an upsetting video showing Tommy kissing a girl in a nightclub in North Macedonia on a lads holiday.

Exactly one week after the split a Danish woman accused of getting close to Tommy speaks to The Sun. On Wednesday, August 21, she denies she is the girl who kissed Tommy.

If it’s the case that Molly owns the house, Tracey said they still could hit stumbling blocks if Tommy was contributing towards the monthly mortgage payments.

She said: “If he paid each month he could argue he was reducing the debt on the house, so a percentage of it belongs to him.

“If that’s the case Molly could have a real fight on her hands.”

Tracey said because the pair aren’t married, they may have drawn up contracts before they began mingling their finances.

But she reckons it’s unlikely because they grew wealthy when they were already together, not before.

She said: “It’s so much easier to sort things out contractually while you’re still loved-up rather than when you’re emotionally devastated.

“But you don’t think of a contract or any kind of prenup if you start to acquire wealth together.

“I’d put money on they don’t have a contract of any sort.

“They must have a lot of designer stuff – I wonder whether there will be fights over who gets what.”

Tracey said if there’s no prior contract, and they aren’t able to agree amicably on who gets which of their joint possessions, they would have to prove who owns what in court.

But she reckons it won’t get to that stage – because she thinks the pair will find a way to make decisions out of court.

She said: “Emotions are running really high, and I’m sure Molly is broken-hearted that her home got blown up.

“But from what I saw of an interview with Molly-Mae, she carries herself with such dignity.

“So I like to think she’d approach it in a pragmatic way – the more they can agree out of court, the cheaper it will be, legally.

“And the better for them, because they still have to work together to parent their child.

“Because Bambi is so young, you’d hope it won’t turn into a big legal battle.

“But you never know – look at Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, that was a circus.”
