Love Island’s Harriett reveals all on Ronnie split and why they called off romance
LOVE Island’s Harriett Blackmore has opened up on her heartbreaking split from co-star Ronnie Vint for the first time.
The reality star from Brighton exclusively told The Sun in a candid interview: “I love him so much but it just didn’t work”.
Rumours swirled that the villa favourites had called it off after he was spotted cosying up to a stunning teacher on a night out.
We told how he’d been spotted in Milton Keynes at city hotspot Blossom Room last month when his head was apparently turned.
He denied any wrongdoing – but weeks later they were hit by a series of rows.
Onlookers spotted Ronnie fuming with Hariett when she turned up late to the official launch of his new events brand, Eggi Boff.
Sources then revealed that they had called it quits for good – but they have both remained silent on the matter until now.
Breaking her silence at the Superdrug Awards in London last night, Harriett confirmed they have called it quits, telling us: “Yes. Ronnie and I have split and these things happen.”
In a surprising confession, she admitted she still had feelings for him and the door was open for a reunion.
She said: “I love him so much but it just didn’t work as a relationship and that’s fine.
“We shared the most amazing experience together and I always have so much love and respect for him.
“I’m not saying no, but for now we’re taking a break from the relationship.”
The star also hit back at criticism from Love Island fans who accused the pair of faking their romance for the cameras and to boost their careers.
She said: “It’s not often you share a villa experience with someone – and if people are calling it a showmance, it simply wasn’t a show.
“We have a special connection and I’ll always treasure that. It’s time for hot girl winter!”
Ronnie addressed rumours of cheating and their relationship at the launch of Eggi Boff.
He told The Sun at the time that he was even thinking of making Harriett his girlfriend in the coming days.
Ronnie continued: “Even when the story came out, I said to Harriett, I FaceTimed that night, so she knew straight away what happened.
“So it was brushed under, and other than that we’ve been so good.
“We just had a little trip to Italy together.
“I met her family, and she’s met mine – the parents, and everything is going so well.
“I’m really looking forward to our next chapter together.”
