'This is so rich': Harris lists Trump's legal woes as he decries criminals crossing border

Vice President Kamala Harris mocked her Republican rival after he accused the Biden administration of allowing a deluge of "common street criminals to cross the border."

Trump repeated his campaign rally stump speeches at the debate in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, positing that "millions of criminals" have been allowed in the country. These people, he claimed, were told by countries such as Venezuela, "don't come back or we're going to kill you."

"Do you know that crime in countries like Venezuela and all over the world is way down? You know why? Because they've taken their criminals off the street and they've given them to her to put into our country," he said.

Trump then theorized that Democrats are using illegal immigrants to pad their voter rolls.

After ABC moderator David Muir tried to fact-check Trump and said that FBI statistics show crime is falling nationwide, Harris shot back at her Republican rival.

"I think this is so rich," she said. "Coming from someone who has been prosecuted for national security crimes, economic crimes, election interference, has been found liable for sexual assault, and his next big court appearance is in November at his own criminal sentencing.

Harris noted it's important to note where each candidate stands on the "respect for the rule of law" and "respect for law enforcement."
