Gossip Girl Alum Taylor Momsen Took the Naked Dress Trend to the Next Level on the Red Carpet

0

Is it any surprise that the wild child from Gossip Girl, who turned into the lead singer of the iconic heavy metal band The Pretty Reckless, made such a daring red carpet move? Listen, we’ve seen some daring naked dresses, but Taylor Momsen took it to the next level: by being topless on the red carpet.

In case you missed it, on Sept 9, Momsen arrived at the KidSuper’s Funny Business Volume III Comedy Fashion Show. She shared pics of her look from the event on her Instagram. She said, “Virgin eyes and dirty looks and a great time with @kidsuper at one of the funnest fashion events I’ve ever been to! Thanks to @dougieplaylist and the whole team for having me! @lovesac @puma @bfa @nyfw.”

So, as you can see in the photos, Momsen went on the red carpet topless. She donned a gray and black look consisting of loose pants, and a jacket that was opened all the way to expose her killer abs! No, seriously, those abs have to be made of steel.

Along with that, she was topless on the red carpet, with only pieces of black duct tape covering her nipples.

This may be one of the most daring red carpet moments we’ve ever seen, and it’s so what we’d expect from the singing sensation. Truly, she looked so confident and stunning on the red carpet, and we love that she made this major statement with her fashion.

In a previous interview with CR Fashion Book, Momsen talked about how while she doesn’t see herself as a fashion “icon,” she does work hard to make her fashion give a visual experience.

“I think that, for a lot of musicians, fashion is a big part of the visual expression of their music. There’s the album art, the live show production, and the fashion,” she said. “Seeing the White Stripes when I was a kid definitely had an impact on me. The monochromatic coloring of the stage and also them, the red and white aesthetic, gave the whole thing such presence and made me look at it as a whole as opposed to just what I’m wearing.”
