DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) – The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office has released new details about a suspect who remains at-large and is wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Delaware County over the weekend.

According to an update from the DCSO, the suspect is Bruno Vasquez Munguia. It was originally reported that Munguia is 22-years-old, but in a recent update of suspect information, his age is listed as 34-years-old.

The DCSO said that Munguia has two fresh cuts on the right side of his face – one above the eyebrow, another at the top of his cheek. He also has a large scar on his right bicep, the release said. Updated photos were also provided by the sheriff's office.

Local authorities have partnered with the U.S. Marshals Service to assist in locating Munguia, who is wanted in the murder of 31-year-old Efrain Andrande, who was found at a residence in the 9000 block of Norton-Waldo Road, in Delaware County’s Marlboro Township.

Deputies who responded to the reports of a disturbance Sunday at around 3:15 a.m. said that the victim, found lying in the grass outside a home, was unresponsive while suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and the left side of his head.

A witness at the scene told police that there were several people inside the home, as many as eight, that they did not speak English, and that an older model Hyundai Santa Fe with Indiana plates often seen at the home was not in the driveway. He told deputies that he believed he heard yelling outside the home, followed by three or four gunshots, before he called 911 at 3:20 a.m.

Several individuals came out of the home at the direction of responding deputies and at least two were taken to the Delaware County Jail for questioning.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday evening, the DCSO announced it issued a warrant for Munguia and believe he may be in the Columbus area, or possibly Indiana.

The DCSO said Munguia is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached if seen. If anyone sees the suspect, they are asked to call 911 or DCSO at 740-833-2800 immediately.
