Llano County man sentenced to 40 years in woman's 2022 death

LLANO COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A man was sentenced Friday for the 2022 death of a 33-year-old woman in Llano County.

Dennis Price II was sentenced to 40 years in Texas prison, according to court documents.

Price was previously charged with murder, but he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter as part of a plea bargain, according to court records. Price also waived his right to appeal or motion for a new trial.

In October 2022, the Llano County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in Kingsland after a 911 call from a man crying.

The sheriff's office said deputies found an unresponsive woman, later identified as 33-year-old Carrie Ann Price, on the ground. She died at the hospital.
