Fans vote for Tottenham’s Goal of the Month award but Bissouma misses out
Spurs fans have voted for Son Heung-min’s second goal against Everton as the Goal of the Month for August, with Yves Bissouma’s striker against the Toffees missing out.
Tottenham only have one win this season
It is fair to say that there was not too much for Tottenham fans to smile about in August barring that one huge win against Everton.
Spurs have picked up just one point from their two away games against Leicester City and Newcastle, which is far from ideal, especially given the difficult run of fixtures that the club have coming up over the next few weeks.
Ange Postecoglou will be ruing his side’s lack of ruthlessness in the final third in the two away games and will feel that Tottenham should have nine points on the board by now.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Goal of the Month
However, the Spurs stars did show against Everton that they are capable of finishing off moves in fine fashion on their day, scoring some memorable goals against the Toffees.
Out of those, it is Son’s second goal, which was created thanks to a lung-busting run from Micky van de Ven, that has clinched the Goal of the Month award.

Bissouma will feel quite hard done by that his goal did win the vote.
Not only was it a fantastic strike but the move leading up to the hit was impressive, with the ball being worked well down the right.
