Spice Girl and This Morning star join Vernon Kay and AJ Odudu’s new ITV fashion series – as full line up is revealed
UPCOMING ITV fashion series Dress the Nation has signed up a Spice Girl and This Morning star in exciting roles.
Ten contestants are hoping to secure a coveted in-house design role at M&S’ colleague support centre in London.
Vernon Kay and AJ Odudu co-host ITV’s Dress the Nation[/caption] This Morning’s Cat Deeley has been signed up as one of the celebrity judges[/caption] Spice Girls legend Mel B will also appear as a judge[/caption]Cat Deeley and Mel B have both joined the ITV1 show’s celebrity judging panel.
Vernon Kay and AJ Odudu serve as co-hosts for the upcoming series.
The rotating judges’ line-up also features Ian Wright, Vogue Williams and Alex Scott.
Speaking ahead of the show’s launch, AJ said: “I had the time of my life filming M&S: Dress The Nation on ITV!
“Access to the creative industries and finding new ways for people to get that first foot in the door is so important to me, and creativity, passion and a real opportunity at the end of it is what Dress the Nation is all about.
“The contestants were absolutely incredible, they really gave it their all and I loved being on the journey with them.
“I can’t wait for everyone to meet our designers, and see their fantastic talent and ideas come to life.”
Vernon added: “It was a totally brilliant experience meeting our budding designers and seeing them deliver incredible results week on week.
“Giving creative talent the opportunity to showcase their work is so important, and the project was fantastic to be a part of.”
As well as the celebs, the panel will also include M&S experts.
In addition, the show will also invite M&S customers to the studio each week, to view the collections and give their feedback on each piece.
The design challenge format has been created in partnership with ITV and M&S.
Meanwhile, the show’s ten contestants have also been announced.
The group includes Chris (38), an office manager, Daylan (30), a pattern cutter and David (37), a former dancer – all of whom are from London.

Also hoping to claim victory are Julie (54), an Alterations shop owner from Sheffield, Katie (24), a retail worker from Southport and Paul (31), a lecturer from Ayr.
Other competitors include Sandeep (33), a fabric shop owner from Coventry and Tedai (44), a project worker from Doncaster.
Completing the line-up are Ryan (21), a shop assistant from Swansea and Maria (45), a Financial Director from Crosby.
Dress The Nation begins Tuesday, September 17 at 8pm on ITV1.
