Uncapped Seshnie Naidu Along with Seamer Ayanda Hlubi in SA’s T20 World Cup Squad
South Africa named uncapped legspinner Seshnie Naidu and seamer Ayanda Hlubi in an rather experienced squad for the T20 World Cup in UAE. Both players were part of the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup last year.
Dillon du Preez will keep on the coaching in an interim captaincy after taking over Hilton Moreeng. South Africa is yet to appoint a permanent head coach.
The team is going to be led by Laura Wolvaardt, and has experienced all-rounder Marizanne Kapp, opener Tazmin Brits and seamer Ayabonga Khaka. Nadine de Klerk, who is currently on her way to recover from Achillies’ injury, is expected to be fully fit for the tournament.
Naidu and Hlubi being included in the squad comes between the rumours of Ismail making a comeback and former captain Dane van Niekerk, which suggests South Africa is looking forward.
