I did a Shein haul but it wasn’t just clothes in my package – I truly wanted to throw up, I’m never ordering again
SHEIN might be known for its bargain finds, but a budget shopper got more than she bargained for when she opened her package.
She certainly didn’t order what she discovered among the new clothes — and she was horrified, to say the least.
In a now-viral TikTok video with hundreds of comments, Emma Coad (@emm.coad.3), gave a glimpse of what horrors were hiding in her haul from Shein.
There was no mistaking what she had found.
“All I wanted was the Missguided clothing and a jean skirt but instead I got worms falling out of my package,” she said.
She was bugging out over the three large — and living — worms that were moving around the edge of a paper plate they were now contained on.
“It was disgusting!” she told The U.S. Sun.
“I truly wanted to throw up. I can’t make it up! I dumped the packages out and they fell out onto my feet and the ground.”
She gave a close-up view of the creepy crawlies that had made their way into her package.
The clothes she ordered were strewn about the room, but it was safe to say she wouldn’t be wearing them any time soon.
She even set the video to screaming music that most likely mimicked her sentiments over the mortifying situation.
Coad made clear that she was going to take her business elsewhere – and she wasn’t the only one.
“OK, yep, just emptied my cart,” said a viewer.
“Never ordering again,” Emma replied.
BUGGING THE BRAND
She told The U.S. Sun that she reached out to the fast fashion company to complain.
“I have contacted Shein. They unfortunately told me in emails it’s not their fault and they aren’t liable,” she said.
“They won’t give me my money back at all, which sucks.
“It makes me so mad they won’t give me any compensation. And clearly, they would be smart enough to do it regarding how popular my TikTok has gotten,” she added.
A Shein spokesperson told The U.S. Sun that they’ve since issued a refund.
“When we received the customer’s inquiry, we launched an immediate investigation,” theY said.
“This indicated that when the package completed our quality control process and left our facility, it contained only the Shein items ordered,” they added.
“We are in touch with the customer and have offered them a full refund.
A HORROR STORY
Other TikTokers were also shocked to hear about the haul that had turned into a scary movie.
“I actually screamed,” said one viewer.
“I audibly gasped,” another said.
Many fans of the affordable shop were no longer excited to receive their items.
“I’m crying right now as my package is out for delivery,” said another TikToker.
“Welp, now I’m scared to open my package that’s being delivered today,” one more user commented.
“Faints as I wait for my Shein package,” said yet another.
It seemed that this was not the first time something similarly slimy had occurred, according to one more person.
“This happened to me but with different kinds of bugs. I literally died!” they said.
