Injury expert predicts Spurs player will be out for a few more weeks
According to Rajpal Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, Richarlison might not return to first-team training for the rest of September.
Tottenham injury news
Ange Posetecoglou is waiting on the fitness of Dominic Solanke, Micky van de Ven and Richarlison ahead of the North London Derby on Sunday.
Reports over recent days have indicated that the Australian could well have two of them back to face the Gunners.
An update from Football.London on Monday pointed out that Solanke was close to being fit for the clash against Newcastle and is thus expected to be available for the derby, while Van de Ven has also had sufficient time to recover after pulling out of the Netherlands squad.
Richarlison ruled out for September?
However, Brar doubts that will be the case, insisting that the Brazilian is likely to remain out of action for a few more weeks.
When asked about the 27-year-old, he told Tottenham News: “He picked up the injury in training and is expected to be ruled out for a few weeks.
“Based on the potential return timeline around 21 September, he will likely be progressing through more dynamic activities with the hope of returning to team training after the international break. It’s fair to rule him out for the entire month from first-team training.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Based on the way Ange was speaking about Richarlison, I would be extremely surprised if the striker is passed fit for the Arsenal game.
However, it does look like Spurs will have both Solanke and Van de Ven back fit, which will undoubtedly be a major boost to the Lilywhites.
