The end of Christian identity: Beter Uit vacation park sold
Beter Uit, a Christian travel organization, has announced the sale of its vacation park, Walsdorf, located in the picturesque Luxembourg Ardennes. This decision marks the end of over two decades of Christian-oriented activities and services at the park. Walsdorf, nestled in a serene wooded valley at the edge of the forest, has been a beloved destination for Christian families seeking nature and adventure. For more than 20 years, the park has hosted various Christian programs, including Dutch-language church services, children’s activities, and Bible studies, fostering a sense of community and shared faith among its visitors. Despite efforts to find a new owner who would continue the park’s Christian identity, Beter Uit’s director and owner, Jan van den Bosch, was unable to secure such an investor. Consequently, the park will change hands in 2025, with Bas Koegler, the owner of vacation park De Bosgraaf in Lieren, set to become the new owner.
