Whitney Leavitt has emerged as the villain of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' season one. She said the show was 'not how I remember it.'
- Fans are criticizing Whitney Leavitt over her appearance in "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives."
- Whitney argues with multiple costars in the first season and leaves their influencer group chat.
- Whitney said on TikTok that the final edit is not the "truth" of what happened.
Whitney Leavitt blamed the edit for looking bad on "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," after fans called her the villain of season one.
Whitney and her fellow Mormon MomTokers are the latest social media stars to make the transition from online to TV stardom with their own reality show.
The main storyline of the season is Whitney's disagreements with the other group members, including Taylor Frankie Paul, Jessi Ngatikura, and Demi Engemann. When they confront Whitney, she paints herself as the victim.
After a major fight in episode four, while the group is on vacation, Whitney leaves the group chat, refuses to attend most of their group activities, and then complains to her husband when she's no longer invited to their events.
By the end of the season, the only person Whitney is on good terms with is Mayci Neeley.
Fans were quick to criticize Whitney's behavior on social media.
On Sunday, Whitney said in a TikTok video that she had watched the first season and captioned the post, "huh that's not how I remember it."

Whitney didn't specify what part of the show was inaccurate, and in the comment section, Whitney said Hulu was not to blame.
Taylor commented on the post: "Oh noooooooo????."
Whitney replied: "You also knowing the truth but not saying anything ????????????."
When another fan called Whitney a mean girl, she wrote: "Please name ONE thing I said that was mean lol ????."
It's unclear if Whitney is done with the other Mormon MomTokers
At the end of season one, Whitney seems to leave the Mormon MomTok group. She appeared in multiple TikTok videos with the other cast members recently, but she could have been simply promoting the first season.
Whitney mostly dodged the question in interviews ahead of season one's premiere.
She told the New York Post last week that she wanted to decide after watching the show whether to stay with the group or appear in season two.
"I want to wait to see what was really said, what was really done," Whitney said. "I think that once the show comes out, I'm hoping that I'll be able to have more of an opportunity to share why I made that decision, rather than it just be from the show."
Whitney told Distractify last week: "I don't really know, and I don't really feel welcomed in, like, the whole group as a whole. But again, like, some I've reconnected with, and just some I haven't."
Judging by a recent interview Mayci gave to Decider, she is still friends with Whitney, but it is unclear where the rest of the group stands.
In episodes four and five, Jessi accuses Whitney of treating her friends like toys. Last week, Jessi told Distractify that she wouldn't be surprised if Whitney returned to the group, but said they hadn't made amends.
In the early episodes, Whitney gossips behind Taylor's back and doesn't tell her that she has a problem with her until Taylor confronts her. Taylor told Distractify last week that she's friends with Whitney, but added "you never know if she has mixed feelings."
Mikayla Matthews and Jessi Ngatikura were the only members of the group who didn't follow Whitney on Instagram.
Though Mikayla does not have a major disagreement with Whitney on the show, she is the only cast member who has made posts that seem to criticize Whitney.
The first post on Saturday, which features every cast member but Whitney and Jennifer Affleck, was captioned: "When most of you stay friends after the show comes out."
@mikaylamatthews Rumor has it me and @DemiLucyMay kissed at the end ???????? what was everyone thoughts on the show????????? @Taylor Paul @_justjessiiii @Mayci Neeley @Layla Taylor

On Sunday, Mikayla shared another post with Mayci, captioned, "When my best friend defends someone who gaslights her and doesn't support her but says she's my friend."

The "someone" appears to be referring to Whitney.
